About the Ring
I started The Republican Papers in early 2000 during the campaign season which was considerably shorter than what we have experienced in 2008.
At the time "The Papers" was just my little piece of the web, Blogs were not yet a part of the lexicon and so most political discourse was taking place on Forums such a Fox News Forum (now defunct) and Delphi.
I don't remember exactly when it was I ran across "The Ring of Conservative Sites". I joined it and carried the ring banner on the site until now.
As it turns out that Ring went into hiatus September 25, 2007. There is a statement on its Home Page that it hoped to reopen in January 2008. For what ever reason that didn't happen.
As there are still some active sites that carry the Ring Banner I am establishing this Ring in hopes of filling the void.
